I made Hammered Pumpkins!

Look! At Walmart, I bought these ugly pumpkins for $5.oo each! I knew I could make these look great..just because.... I HAD to! Thank you, Walmart for the challenge! LOL..
One of each size..I like to work in threes... but the third one I found- I could not live with...Although, after I get these done..I may be able to compromise and go get the third funky- shaped one!

This is all I used! I'm not kidding..they took about three coats each ... which I have enough for the funky one if I go get it....

Yes, DAHHHling..I love them too! That's it! I am going to go get the third one to add to this ..I must! LOL!!! Thanks for stopping by! Love ya! Mean it! Stephanie

I would have thought they cost a fortune had you not shared your tip. Very creative painting them metallic...

"Hammered" it is then!! Thanks doll, love the idea there as I wondered what to do with 'ugly' pumpkins that have faded. I won't purchase a fresh one until the week of. So the phrase is... "Love it". ;)

Stephanie - sometimes figuring these things out is so complicated. You can actually even go to my site, highlight the picture, right click and choose "copy" then open your blog post to edit it and click "control+V". That'll add the picture. Then highlight it and add this link:

http://thediyshowoff.blogspot.com/2009/09/fall-festival-week-3.html

If it's not working - just mention it and cut/past that link (highlight the link and click the "paper clip" to insert the link there too). That'll make it clicky.

Good luck. I will work on making the code so it can just be inserted. Sorry for the confusion!

Looks great! I did the same with some not so pretty orange pumpkins last year from Wal Mart...I painted mine white and added some colored leaves. It's amazing what one can do with some spray paint and a little creativity. Thanks for the inspiration.
