Ok so..Thanksgiving is coming and so is Christmas....I am wondering do you and your families do gift exchanges? How do you decide what you spend? Do you do family gifts for your brothers and sisters families or individual gifts? Do you buy for each of their children? Do you make homemade gifts? I would love to hear any and all ideas on this topic so this post is a discussion forum...lets exchange ideas here!

We do a mixture of both buying and making. Luckily, I am fond of candle-making, so those homemade gifts really come in handy! I don't know anyone who will turn down a candle! ;)

We do exchange gifts. Sometimes we give individual gifts and sometimes family gifts - it just depends on the year. I like to give homemade gifts occasionally. Nieces and nephews received toys when they were smaller. Now that they are older they appreciate gift cards for gasoline.
On another note, please accept a "Heartfelt Award" that I'm passing on to you and see the post on my blog today

Have a blessed day.
For us, it's different with each side of the family. On Hubby's side, adults exchange names and we all get gifts for the kids. On my side, we still do stuff with both sets of my grandparents. For both of those get-togethers, each person brings an "anyone" gift and we play games for the gifts. To me this is the most fun. I usually do a combo of making and buying.
First I wanted to say thanks so much for becoming my first follower on my home decor blog! I appreciat a lot:) Our immediate family is somewhat small and there are still small kids my 1 niece and 1 nephew each get toys or gift cards, I still give my parents each a gift as well as my two sisters, my two teenage boys pretty much get gift cards or money and a few small things to unwrap under the tree. My husband and I usually get each other something pretty large but this year since we are aiming to buy a house in the new year I don't think that will happen. This year I think I'll be baking for the inlaws because they loved my baked goods so much last year and it was an inexpensive way to give everyone a gift.
