Almost there!

My dear daughter Camalee took these pictures for me! She is 12 years old..She did pretty well! I must say! My camera's SD card bombed on me and so Camalee had to be my stand in. She is always taking pictures, so we finally got a camera for her and she snaps away! Alot of her pictures are of our cats but she really takes alot of great nature photos too. This is her sweet auntie Shelly who among everything else said she would sew my panels for under my desk..I really don't know how to sew. I'm so blessed to have a talented relatives!

Don't ya love this decorators fabric! I had this old lace and last minute asked if she would throw that on too. Wow! She did a awesome job! She is always so willing to help out and I love her dearly! So, the project goes on..I got my chandelier shades after- mind you- going to Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot, Joanne Fabrics and a call in to Lowes (cuz I could not walk one more step).. I finally found shades at Fred Meyer of all places! It took a full day to get all the supplies to make them but I am ready to get started on that project on Monday possibly..I torn my daughters room up and cleaned their carpet, put it together again and I'm to tired now to do anything else..how does one room almost take you out? wow! Love ya mean it! Stephanie
P.S. I want to thank my followers! I love you and I appreciate you! thanks!

A VERY SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO MY SHELLY! THANKS SIS YOUR AMAZING!

My little dream!

I was checking one of my favorite blogs Restyled Homehttp://restyledhome.blogspot.com/ and I couldn't believe this!

She got a link from her friend Chris http://chriskauffman.blogspot.com/ and I had to share too!

You see this little trailer is a little dream..can you see what I mean? First with the chairs up above love them! Ticking fabric a little blanket and pillow ready for a good book and a cup o coffee Heloooo!

Aren't these colors great! Not your typical camping colors.. love it! But, like the comment I left for Restyled Home.. This would make a great grown up girls fort! For me silly!

And of course a great friend! Can't you just picture you and me sitting here sharing great decorating ideas and talking about our next big project we are gonna do?

We could sit outside and share lunch at this lovely table! I love driving the country side and I see these beauties all neglected and shoved back into the woods forgotten...What a shame! I say if you can't move 'em redo 'em and get yourself a grown up girls fort! A place to read, relax, take a breather and pamper yourself..Listen to some music, plan your next project and share it with us in blog land! O this is a dream I hope to do myself one day! Thanks for stopping by! Love ya mean it! Stephanie ( all images nochintz.com.au)

Life is like a bowl of cherries??

Well, I changed the word on my chalkboard..Yeah, this is a chalkboard made out of a old metal platter. I found it at a garage sale and thought why not? Bought some chalkboard paint..(I recommend painting it on rather than spraying it)..and a couple layers later and a day of drying time..I have a new chalkboard for menu's, bible verses, love notes to Danny and kids, etc...I had the word honor on there before and then I did my fridge project so hence a new word! I felt courage was needed today. Mostly, because when I look around at my house I wonder where my kids get the courage to leave their stuff laying around! And where I get the courage to stand and look around at it..in awe and in wonder.. Anyway, courage is what seems to be the order of the day for me! I need it some days don't you? lol I hope you enjoyed the chalkboard idea! I am working towards the finishing touches on my office. My sister- in -law Shelly is going to sew up some panels for under my desk (bless her heart and hands dear Lord)! My sewing machine is ill and I think besides the shades for my chandelier.. I will be sharing the reveal soon! Thanks for coming by! love ya mean it! Stephanie

Have a little Honor and Faith

This little project is so easy..I wanted to decorate my fridge in the mudroom because it looks so plain and I thought this would be a solution that would go along with the FAMILY theme I have going on..since this is the first thing we all see when we walk in the door..the word Honor and Faith came to mind because the simple words are filled with such meaning it should penetrate our being.. The new trend is using words throughout our homes and I really like this concept because it is like having reminders of how we should conduct ourselves even in our homes as examples for our kids and to each other..I know that after awhile we will see the word and it may be like a picture that we walk by every day and don't see anymore..but I know it will come to mind someday and remind us that this is an important part of who we are..Think of going to gram's house. I remember clearly the pictures on her walls that are still there to this day.. especially the one in her kitchen that said something about a clean house and company..I um may have block some of that one out.. but,how about you? Do you have a picture or plaque that you saw long ago that reminds you of something that stayed with you all these years? A reminder that you kept or blocked out!? lol I hope my kids and myself always see honor and faith and remember that this is our foundation..Our rock always..in good times and in bad times..
So.. here I started with my burlap which I have loved secretly before it became the in thing to use our homes..

An old frame I found in some pictures I gave to my brother Danny for his first place..He out grew them I guess and I got lucky because I got my great frames back!!

A little magnet attached to the back..yes, it will hold it .. I will get back to ya after the kids have slammed the door a time or two..haha.

And here they are! I will post photos of full room later..it needs a little polish before viewing! For such a little room, you know its the busiest room in the house! Shoes, backpacks, books etc. it's all here! Hope you get inspired to try this idea. It is quick and easy! I like that! Thanks for visiting! love ya mean it! Stephanie

A Wedding with Culture

Yesterday, my friend Danica got married..It was wonderful! Way to hot of weather! But wonderful. Danny and I arrived at 12:30 . I'm pretty sure I sweated off ten pounds (o let it be so) by 1:00! We helped set up this beautiful wedding reception. There were many other helpers and I'm not kidding they worked long after Danny and I were done! God Bless them all! I can't even describe in words the sights and smells and colors of this wedding..Danica married into a Nigerian Family with much tradition and culture..It was hands down the most fun I have had at a wedding! The ladies here are the first to show and they were BEAUTIFUL..In traditional dress the ladies of this wedding left us in awe! Even Danica dressed in the traditional gown towards the end of reception as she and her new husband led the ladies in dancing to African music!

A view of the banquet table..don't you just love it! I wish I had more photo's but my camera died halfway through the reception! Ugh! This always happens to me!

Another view of table..The food was Amazing! The smells and the variety of Nigerian dishes and American dishes wow!

The bridal table before completed..Lovely pink, orange, green and yellow paired with chocolate brown which you know is my fave! The colors mixed with the food , music and dance were really all the senses could take! We did leave early but left with great memories! Congratulations to my friends Danica and Alphonse! May you always feel like newlyweds!
