A few.. I love its!

I thought I would share a few things that really stood out to me in the latest Pottery Barn magazine..which is a favorite of mine from the days when I had a home completely decorated like this...my new home is evolving a little.. we will have to see what it is when it gets done.lol. So up above I love the idea of the belt strap around the birch logs that makes a candle platform...
Up above in this photo I love the little tree branches in pots sitting on a flat piece of log..I am going to do my own take on this idea this week so look for that...

Up above in the next photo..I am getting a kick outta the wooden plant stand....Wouldn't this be great made into a pulpit for a rustic country church??!!!

I like this dinning room but what I really love is the mirrors sunk into the snow....so pretty..

This one is tricky..but if you look really close in the bookcase all the books seem to be covered in photo paper...this is a neat idea..you could do black and white photos and make copies of them and wrap your books....I really like it!

This computer desk is really nice but what I love is the baskets and how they are stacked...very cool storage and so unique looking!

This is my all time favorite because I love anything luxury! A coffee bar! They actually show this in a bedroom in the magazine..which is oolala to me but this could be put anywhere! I had a coffee bar in my old house with a sink and everything..I miss it terribly! But this idea is a possibility for any area that you would love to have easy access to your coffee...
And finally the bedroom...I love the tree in the back with the fabric around the base and the silhouette ornaments clipped with laundry pins..So there is a few of the things that I love in the magazine and ideas that are simple and easy..I am going to try a few..thanks for stopping by love ya mean it! I like these leaves!!!

Instructions
Heat the oven to 375°. Whisk one egg with a teaspoon of water and set it aside.
On a floured surface, roll out a prepared pie crust so it's about 1/8-inch thick. Use a large leaf-shaped cookie cutter (ours is 4 1/2-inches wide) to make as many dough leaf pairs as possible.
For each pocket, spread about 4 teaspoons of mini chocolate chips and peanut butter chips on a leaf, leaving a 1/2-inch margin at the edge. Brush egg wash onto the edge, place a second leaf on top, and press the edges to seal.
Brush the top with egg wash and sprinkle it generously with raw sugar. Bake the leaves on a parchment-covered cookie sheet until their edges are just beginning to brown, about 12 minutes. Let them rest on the sheet a few minutes before moving them to a cooling rack.
Looks like this is an easy and pretty dessert for the kids...and adults too..LOL! I got the recipe from Family Fun! Thanks for stopping by! Love ya mean it! Stephanie

Changes in the season....changes in me

The fall always has me thinking of changes....and as winter is coming soon I wonder what changes will come with that...What will the rest of this season be like? People always say "oh it's just for a season"...but it is so much more than that...a season as we know it in nature comes and goes and it is tangible..but a change in our life or a "season" can go on for a long time...I tend to think a season is always related to something that is troubling.. I mean, do we ever really say when things are good.. "oh its just for a season?"...I have some things coming up in my life that are going to be "for a season" not necessarily troubling...just different....Changes for the better that require work and prayer ...hard work, soul searching work that I'm a little afraid of..because what will the season bring? Sometimes it brings good things... sometimes it brings changes in you or others... sometimes it can "get worse before it gets better" ...but it's the journey IN the season I'm afraid of..I know the end result will be what it is..Good, either way... because in a journey you always learn something new..but the CHANGES in the journey..well... it is long and tedious and will reveal things I'm not sure I want to face. I know it is necessary..just like the weather changing and the time changing and the day changing...it is out of my control and so I have to give it over and let myself be guided..I think I will at least step into it and let the wind take me where it will..I trust it will be alright because I am being carried by the hand that created me..and so as you think of the "change of season" in your life.. I hope you will step in and be brave too...and let it be one that is worthwhile.. because even as we can surely see the season changing outside... we know there will be an end to it and we will go on.. and we will KNOW the things that were to be given to us for this season...Thanks for stopping by! love ya mean it! Not stepping over November..

I have Thanksgiving in my head today..I am not sure what our plans are but I refuse to step over November to December ideas..so I roamed around and found some ideas I liked for November....
I like how simple this pear is with a nameplate made of paper and a beautiful gold tipped pin...

This napkin looks very simple and classy too...I could easily make everyone at the table feel honored with this idea....

OOO........ I could make this tablecloth...and add favorite verses from Scripture on it!

And remember loved ones who have passed on or could not make it to our thanksgiving meal...

This is a lovely idea for napkins to sit beside the hot apple cider....and by using colored ink I could really make it special...Just a few ideas to think on...Thanks for stopping by! Love ya! Mean it! Stephanie
