crafting

Crafting was a huge part of the Harvest party this year..here my son is making a leather cross to send to Iraq for a friend that is in the military...

and all the lady drivers got to make wrist key chains...My mom in law brought all the things needed and graciously sewed them so all we had to do was put on the bling and finish off the edges with rings..

She had such great crystals and it was so easy...the only difficult thing was picking them up and putting them on the key chain..hot fixing them was all it took!

She brought fleece for the girls to do scarfs! I love it! Some of the moms made some for their little ones too!

What a blast we all had doing these fun and easy projects! Thank you mom for your effort and ideas for this years crafts! We loved it!

A dedication...

This post is dedicated to our friends Shane and TJ and all of our troops who serve so bravely in the military! My beautiful niece is dating TJ and we surely missed him this year at the harvest party! So I thought we should send him a little of it ....in a paper bag scrapbook made by his favorite gal!

So with three paper bags, scrapping paper, twine and a leather cross..we all added our love in letters with prayers for him and the guys he serves with...

This day is about family and what that means..its about realizing the importance of taking time and sharing and serving in love....

God bless our men and bring them safely home...And to our friends Shane and TJ take care and we will see you soon!

I copied Martha again...

That's right! I copied Martha once again... only this time I did a costume a few years ago for my daughter Camalee....I could not find the photos of Camalee so I popped this costume on Ella and she is my little Rose Garden fairy!

I bought a little ballet outfit for Camalee one year for a pink party she had with some of her friends and so to save a little money I pulled it out again and grabbed my glue gun found some silk flowers, tulle butterflies, tulle, ribbon and a little picket fence to make into a crown...

Here is a close up..I also bought silk slippers from the dollar store and glued the same on them...they didn't make it to Ella but that's OK..

I love this picture because of her freckles!! And her little pout! She was really modeling for me!

She is so beautiful and so is Camalee..I am so blessed with two girls! They bring out the girl in me! Thanks for stopping by! Love Ya mean it! Stephanie

Pumpkin Tea

Today is rainy and a little bleary...but I was sooo looking forward to going to the Pomeroy House for tea with my mom in law Judy and my sis in law Shelly! I made reservations last week and I could not wait to go! The tea room is a little different than the last time I went there...but it was warm and cozy and we were treated very well! My pictures I took didn't turn out other than the one above...the little menu...It is funny how when you get into a place like this your PROPER comes out...LOL there is something about delicate tea cups and sandwiches that could balance on your thumb that just feels so different..I love going to the Pomeroy every year.... I try to go with different people so they can experience it too. ..
On the way back home I stopped to snap some pictures of Lucia Falls..it is simply striking this time of year! I often think "I can't believe I get to live in such a beautiful part of the country!"

Fall here is the most amazing thing! God is THE master artist and I love His work! I mean look at the colors and the levels on this bank overlooking the water that is rushing over the rocks!

It is chilly... but I cannot tear myself away! My heart just gasps in awe of this!

My picture doesn't do it justice! Such an amazing day with my bestest people, good food and good conversation and a beautiful drive home!
